I've always thought the labeling of certain genres of music are pretty ridiculous. The thought of a particular brand of music being ideal for 'gazing' at one's shoes with both hands in your pockets, is retarded. And by retarded, I mean gay...so much for political correctness. And for all the great bands that were in a particular movement in the early to mid 90's, who played a certain style of rock music that made you feel 'emotions', did not in fact walk around telling people they were in an 'emo' band. And hearing people use that term these days, makes me feel the exact same way when the word 'oriental' is used to describe people. A band is a band, their music is music. And people who are actually well informed about the latest ideas and styles do not walk around calling themselves hipsters, like it's a good thing.
