I'll be out of town for the next week or so...Vegas Baby. Here's some tracks to tide you over. First off, love this Discovery LP, featuring Rostam Batmanglij from Vampire Weekend, and Wes Miles from Ra Ra Riot. Check out "Slang Tang". Also check out this project's MySpace page HERE. The album's official release date in on July 7th, courtesy of the wonderful XL Recordings.

Next up, is one of my favorite tracks from the forthcoming, Mars Volta record. While longing for old At The Drive In, this record at the very least skids off the prog, 20 minute diatribes that some Mars Volta Records leave us with. Check out "Halo of Nembutals" from "Octahedron". Preorder available HERE.

Busdriver
Here's a song from Busdriver's latest album titled "Jhelli Beam". I've had the pleasure of meeting him, and following his evolution through the years, and I think "Jhelli Beam" is full of mind-bending rhymes that assault all of your senses. Check out "Split Seconds" below. Also visit Busdriver's MySpace page HERE. "Jhelli Beam" is out now, and available for order HERE.

MFQ
(A young Rodney Bingenheimer, furthest left, with an aging Elvis)
Here's a track from the "Back To Mono" box set, produced by legendary Phil Spector...before he had that crazy hair, and terrified women. Legendary KROQ pioneer, Rodney Bingenheimer, started every show with this track from The Modern Folk Quartet. Enjoy, "This Could Be The Night".
