Check out this article warning parents that today's opening of "Where The Wild Things Are" may not be suitable for small children, as say the book is. Of course it probably isn't! This movie is for hipsters re-living their childhood!

First off, check out a track from the soundtrack of that wildly popular Vampire movie with the girl from Panic Room, who is older now, and always looks 'shoe-gazey', and is always doing the angst, tussle with my hair, thing. The track is titled "Friends", by Band of Skulls. The soundtrack also features songs from Thom Yorke, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Grizzly Bear, and Sea Wolf. Also last night, Sunny Day Real Estate graced Los Angeles, by playing a show at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood. They sounded quite tight, dusting off a setlist comprised of a lot of "Diary" and "LP2", which made me pretty happy. Also, The Jealous Sound did a quite admirable job opening up, with the help of Coco B's drummer, and buddy of this blog, Bob Penn. A great show for those who felt like reminiscing.
