Besides B-Sides

Here's a couple of unearthed, Silversun Pickups tracks, that I recently discovered from old CDR's. Fans who saw them play the early 2003-2004 era shows are familiar with "Table Scraps". I can't recall exactly which talented Haden sister was accompanying with gorgeous strings during these live performances, but those were some really great shows. The second track is the 2004 demo version of "Kissing Families". The demo had their original artwork, but inside was an actual CDR. It is slightly different from the "Pikul" version, and I'm still searching for my 2003 CDR demo, which featured much slower versions of these songs. You could tell the band was really discovering how to record their efforts during that time.

And as a bonus, check out SSPU's "Walmart: Risers" interview series, which recently featured the band from good old Silverlake, CA.
