Here's a track from the Kings of Leon "Notion" EP, which is available through Amazon HERE. It contains a few live versions of songs from "Only By The Night". Kings of Leon will be playing the Los Angeles Forum on August 22nd. Tickets start at $46...probably for nosebleeds, where they used to keep Magic Johnson's retired jersey. Check out the CSS Remix for an older Kings of Leon song, "The Bucket", below. I'm all for remixes and re-workings, but I'm just gonna have to side with the original version on this one. Also, I'm not sure if CSS also listens to Kings of Leon while fornicating?

Everything Goes Wrong

Here's a track from the forthcoming Vivian Girls record called "Everything Goes Wrong". The album will be available for release on September 8th, from In The Red Records. Pre-Order is available HERE from Insound. Much is already being written about how this record is much darker and moodier than their self-titled 2008 release. What does remain on this release is their fuzzed out brand of Ramones-esque punk rock. Check out the change of pace album closer, "Before I Start to Cry" for yourself, below.

Give Blood

A friend of mine picked me up from JFK on a snowy January night, last year. We drove through Williamsburg, and I recognized Kyp Malone walking down the street with a young lady, with a few rented DVD's in hand. I found myself nerdily leering out the window, and exclaiming to my friend, "I wonder where they're going?! I wonder what movies they're gonna watch?!" Well, apparently he's been working on a solo project titled Rain Machine, and signed to ANTI records. Visit the ANTI site HERE, for official info. Give a listen to "Give Blood" below.
